The launch of the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G in India is imminent, following the release of a teaser by the South Korean tech giant on Tuesday. The promotional materials reveal the device’s rear design and hint at its pricing. Expected to be equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC, the Galaxy M36 5G will succeed the Galaxy M35 in the M-series lineup.
In an official announcement, Samsung detailed that the Galaxy M36 5G is set to debut in India, although the exact launch date remains unconfirmed. What has been disclosed is that the smartphone will be available for under Rs. 20,000 in the Indian market. The device is designed to feature a refreshed color palette and a lightweight form factor.
The Galaxy M36 5G will be available for purchase on Amazon, which has already set up a dedicated launch page for the new phone. The page showcases an image highlighting the rear side of the device, which includes a vertically arranged triple rear camera system. Additionally, the phone is expected to come with AI-driven features.
The unannounced Galaxy M36 also made an appearance on the Geekbench website under the model number SM-M366B. The listing suggested that the phone would be equipped with 6GB of RAM, run on Android 15, and utilize the Exynos 1380 SoC, which is also found in the current Galaxy M35 model.
Expected Specifications of Samsung Galaxy M36 5G
The previous Galaxy M35 closely resembled the Galaxy A35 5G in terms of specifications, suggesting that the forthcoming Galaxy M36 5G may share features with the Galaxy A36 5G. This model was launched in India in March of this year, starting at Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
The Galaxy A36 5G boasts a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a triple rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, alongside a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. If the Galaxy M36 5G indeed serves as a rebranded version of the Galaxy A36 5G, it may feature similar specifications.
