Qualcomm has unveiled plans for its inaugural Snapdragon Auto Day event in India, set to take place on July 30 in New Delhi. This marks the company’s first automotive-focused gathering in the country, organized in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The event aims to spotlight in-vehicle technologies, strategic collaborations, and insights gained from international experiences.

Qualcomm to Host Snapdragon Auto Day Event in India

The San Diego-based semiconductor giant revealed details of the event in a recent press release. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon division has been actively engaged in creating chipsets tailored for in-vehicle connectivity and infotainment systems. This event serves as an opportunity for Qualcomm to unite original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and various ecosystem partners.

“At the heart of this landmark event is a bold vision: to make Indian roads safer and smarter, while showcasing the technologies, cross-border learning, and collaborations that will define the next decade of mobility,” the company stated in its press announcement.

According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Auto Day will serve as a vital platform for industry leaders, OEMs, suppliers, and ecosystem partners from tier 1 cities to convene and share insights. The company plans to present its software-driven Snapdragon technologies designed specifically for vehicles, emphasizing solutions developed to address challenges unique to India.

Qualcomm specializes in providing in-vehicle connectivity solutions along with cloud integration services, all falling under the Immersive Cockpit Solutions framework. The company boasts the ability to create “personalised context-aware in-vehicle experiences” accompanied by innovative 3D UI/UX design.

Additionally, Qualcomm offers the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which aims to enhance vehicle safety and driving experiences through sensor-based automation and algorithms. Furthermore, the company provides Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology, facilitating real-time communication between vehicles and their surroundings. These innovations are geared towards promoting safer driving conditions and reducing road accidents.
