The PlayStation 5 Slim, also known as the PS5 Slim, officially launched in India on Friday, allowing consumers to purchase this streamlined version of Sony’s popular gaming console both online and in physical stores. To enhance accessibility and convenience, Sony has teamed up with the hyperlocal delivery service Blinkit, which promises deliveries of the new console within minutes in select metropolitan areas.
Albinder Dhindsa, the CEO of Blinkit, announced on X (previously Twitter) that residents in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai can order either the PlayStation 5 Slim or the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition and receive it within 10 minutes. In addition, Blinkit has also made PS5 DualSense controllers available for online purchase.
The PlayStation 5 Slim is priced at ₹54,990, and the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition comes at ₹44,990. Consumers opting for the digital edition can later acquire Sony’s PS5 Slim disc drive. The consoles are available for purchase through several online platforms including Sony’s ShopatSC, as well as on Amazon, Flipkart, and Blinkit. Physical retail options also include stores such as Games The Shop.

While the PS5 Slim maintains the processing and graphics specifications of its predecessor, it offers an increased storage capacity of 1TB, in contrast to the previous model’s 825GB. According to Sony, the new model occupies 30% less space and is 24% lighter than the original PlayStation 5.
