Poco has officially announced the upcoming global launch of the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra smartphones. The unveiling is set to take place during a global launch event in Singapore in the final week of March. Alongside the announcement, the Xiaomi sub-brand has shared an image that highlights the rear design of both devices. The Poco F7 Pro is expected to be the global variant of the Redmi K80, whereas the Poco F7 Ultra is likely inspired by the Redmi K80 Pro. Both models will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets. Furthermore, an unboxing video showcasing the design and specifications of the handsets has been released on YouTube.
Poco F7 Series Launch Date
The launch event for the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra is scheduled for March 27 in Singapore. The event will commence at 8:00 GMT (1:30 PM IST). A teaser image shared by the brand displays the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra in striking black and yellow colorways, featuring a consistent design. Both smartphones showcase circular rear camera modules with an LED flash positioned outside the module.
The Poco F7 Pro is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Ultra variant will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
In addition, a YouTube channel called TechTablets has posted an unboxing video of the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. The video indicates that the Poco F7 Pro is equipped with 12GB of RAM, while the Ultra model comes with 16GB of RAM. Each device offers 512GB of storage. The unboxing video showcases the retail packaging, which includes a protective case, a charger, a USB Type-C cable, documentation, a SIM-ejector tool, and the smartphone itself.
According to the video, the Poco F7 Pro supports 90W wired charging, while the Ultra variant provides an even faster 120W wired charging option. Both models display a dual-tone finish, with the Poco F7 Pro in a silver hue and the Poco F7 Ultra in a sleek black finish. Each device features a hole-punch cutout on the display.
The Poco F7 series is expected to operate on HyperOS 2 and include a 50-megapixel main rear camera with optical image stabilization. Additionally, both devices may boast an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. The F7 Pro is projected to come with a robust 6,000mAh battery, while the Poco F7 Ultra is anticipated to feature a 5,300mAh battery.
