The Poco F7 5G is set to make its debut in India later this month, with the company revealing the official launch date along with a teaser of its design. The upcoming smartphone features an elliptical dual rear camera setup, highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary camera. The back panel also indicates that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset.
Poco F7 5G India and Global Launch Update
According to an announcement made through an X post, the Poco F7 5G will be officially launched in India on June 24 at 5:30 PM IST. The device will be available for purchase on Flipkart, with a simultaneous global launch planned for the same date.
The design of the Poco F7 5G has been showcased in promotional materials, displaying a dual-tone black and silver finish. The rear panel features the inscription “Limited Edition,” hinting at the exclusivity of this color variant.
At the rear, the phone sports a vertically oriented elliptical camera module, housing two sensors, with a pill-shaped LED flash positioned nearby. The presence of optical image stabilization (OIS) is confirmed for the 50-megapixel primary sensor, alongside the Snapdragon branding on the panel, which points to the use of a Snapdragon chipset.
Leaked information suggests that the Poco F7 5G could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 System on Chip. The Indian variant will reportedly feature a substantial 7,550mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, while the global model may come with a 6,500mAh battery.
Expected specifications for the Poco F7 5G include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The smartphone may also showcase a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, boast an IP68-rated build, and feature an aluminum middle frame. Anticipated pricing in India is around Rs. 30,000.
Additionally, Poco India’s Chief, Himanshu Tandon, had previously hinted at the possible launch of the Poco F7 Ultra variant in India, which may be unveiled concurrently with the standard Poco F7 5G model.
