Oppo is reportedly in the process of developing a new line of gaming smartphones under the ‘Turbo’ brand. While the Chinese manufacturer has yet to confirm this information, a reliable tipster has leaked details regarding the anticipated launch timeline and specifications for the Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro models.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the two smartphones are expected to be unveiled in China in July. Both devices are said to sport 6.8-inch LTPS displays with a 1.5K resolution.
The vanilla Oppo K13 Turbo is rumored to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, while the K13 Turbo Pro is speculated to feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
Additional leaks suggest that both models will come equipped with a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. They are also expected to have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Moreover, there are indications that these smartphones may include an active cooling fan to enhance performance during demanding gaming sessions. Although specifics on battery capacity remain undisclosed, both devices are expected to house “relatively large” batteries.
In terms of color options, the Oppo K13 Turbo is anticipated to be released in black, purple, and white, while the K13 Turbo Pro is expected to be available in black, purple, and silver.
The Oppo K13 Turbo series has garnered attention recently, with a purported hands-on image of the K13 Turbo emerging online last month. This image showcased the device’s rear design in a blue finish, complemented by RGB LED strips. Additionally, the K13 Turbo Pro is rumored to feature a plastic middle frame. Previous leaks have indicated potential specifications such as a 144Hz refresh rate, RAM options of up to 16GB, storage options up to 512GB, and an IPX8-rated build.
