OpenAI is poised to make a significant announcement on Thursday, which is widely anticipated to unveil the much-anticipated GPT-5 AI model. On the platform X, OpenAI shared a message stating, “LIVE5TREAM THURSDAY 10AM PT,” cleverly replacing the “s” in “livestream” with a “5.”
Several indicators suggest a release may be imminent. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently shared a screenshot that prominently displayed “ChatGPT 5” in the upper corner. Additionally, the head of applied research at the company expressed enthusiasm about the public’s reception of GPT-5. In another development, Altman mentioned last month that OpenAI intends to launch GPT-5 “soon.”
