The OnePlus Open is now receiving the latest OxygenOS 15 update in India, introducing a host of new features tailored for the foldable device. Among the most notable enhancements are the “Save to Mind Space” functionality, an innovative camera filter, the AI Perfect Shot feature, upgraded editing tools, and more. A key highlight of this update is the implementation of multi-screen control, a feature that supports the use of multiple windows simultaneously. The OnePlus Open, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and equipped with a triple rear camera setup, made its debut in India in October 2023.
OxygenOS 15 Update For OnePlus Open: New Features
As reported on the OnePlus community website, OnePlus has begun the incremental rollout of the OxygenOS 15.0.0.840(EX01) update for its Open model in India. This latest software upgrade introduces the much-anticipated multi-screen control feature, allowing users to operate one app in full-screen mode while simultaneously using a second in a floating window.
In terms of camera enhancements, the update includes a soft light filter for both Portrait and Photo modes. The AI Perfect Shot feature is another significant addition, designed to recognize and adjust facial expressions of the same user across different settings. Furthermore, users can now explore new editing options for videos and live photos, with the ability to export videos as live photos or high-resolution images. Additional customization options for organizing the homepage of the Photos app have also been implemented, allowing users to hide specific album content from their main photo list.
The OxygenOS 15 update introduces a “Gradual Alarm Volume” feature, which increases the alarm volume progressively over time, providing a gentler wake-up experience. The Recorder app has also seen improvements, featuring customizable grouping for enhanced audio file management. A new grouping for in-person recordings will automatically compile audio files captured during Standard, Meeting, and Interview modes.
Several system enhancements accompany this update, including the introduction of a Temporarily block feature. This allows users to swipe up on notifications to block banner alerts from selected apps while gaming or watching videos. Additionally, a Restart shortcut has been added to the Quick Settings menu. User experience has been refined with improvements to the movement range of mini windows, enabling users to drag them to the bottom of the display. For added security, the update includes the Android July 2025 Security Patch and addresses a display location issue.
