The OnePlus 13s is poised to make its debut in India in the near future. Although the company has not yet specified a launch date for its latest smartphone, it has been gradually unveiling some of its standout features in recent weeks. The device is expected to boast a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a compact 6.32-inch display. Recently, OnePlus disclosed that the phone will include a “Plus Key” button, which is anticipated to function similarly to the customizable shortcut key featured on the OnePlus 13T that was launched in China in April.
Details on the OnePlus 13s Plus Key Functionality
The OnePlus 13s will come with a Plus Key, as confirmed by the company through a post on X (formerly Twitter). The teaser suggests that this key will offer customization options and may replicate the functions of the brand’s alert slider, enabling users to control brightness levels and access AI features with a single click. It will be located on the left edge of the device, where the tri-state alert slider was previously positioned.
The Plus Key is designed to resemble the customizable shortcut key found on the OnePlus 13T. It allows for seamless switching between different modes such as do not disturb, sound, and vibration. Additionally, users can assign various functions to the key, including acting as a dedicated camera shutter button, starting a video recording, capturing screenshots, utilizing translation tools, or even disabling the key altogether.
The aesthetics of the OnePlus 13s are expected to mirror those of the OnePlus 13T. In India, the smartphone is previewed to be available in black and pink color options. It is confirmed to feature a 6.32-inch display alongside the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Customers will be able to purchase the smartphone through Amazon and the OnePlus India official e-store.
The OnePlus 13T, which was launched in China back in April, is equipped with a 6.32-inch Full-HD+ display featuring an enhanced 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and is backed by a robust 6,260mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Additionally, the phone has an IP65-rated build for dust and splash resistance. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, complemented by a second 50-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 2x optical and 20x digital zoom capabilities. For selfies, the device introduces a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
