New Features for OnePlus 13R
In a community announcement, OnePlus disclosed the latest software update for the OnePlus 13R. The new version of OxygenOS, now at 5.0.0.406, incorporates the latest Android security patch for January 2025, along with new functionalities aimed at enhancing system stability and performance. This update is rolling out on a global scale.
The highlight of this update is the AI-powered live translation feature. This allows users to receive real-time translations of spoken language through both text and audio formats. Additionally, OnePlus is introducing a face-to-face translation capability, designed for conversations between two individuals, featuring a split-screen view that displays translations for each speaker.
For audio requirements, users can listen to the translated speech via headphones. The smartphone’s speaker will relay one translation, while the other will be communicated through the headphones. OnePlus noted that certain headphone models will also enable users to initiate translations with a simple tap on the connected audio device.
Moreover, the latest OxygenOS update brings improvements to camera performance and stability, including enhancements for third-party camera applications. Wi-Fi connection reliability and general communication stability have also been upgraded.
Indian users experiencing any bugs or glitches with the new update can report these issues directly. By opening the Google Dialer and inputting *#800#, they can access a menu for submitting bug reports. It is important to note that this reporting method is currently exclusive to India and is not available to users in other regions.
