Users of the OnePlus 13 can now take advantage of the device’s Night Mode feature directly within Instagram’s in-app camera. This enhancement comes after OnePlus collaborated with Instagram to integrate its low-light photography capabilities, enabling users to capture improved images in dim settings without having to switch between applications.

Utilizing Night Mode on Instagram with OnePlus 13

A recent post on the OnePlus Community details how the Night Mode feature works within Instagram. To access this function, users must ensure they are running the latest version of the app on their OnePlus 13.

In the updated Instagram app for Android, OnePlus 13 users will notice a new moon icon when aiming to photograph a low-light subject. This icon indicates that Night Mode is activated, signaling the camera’s readiness to capture images under challenging lighting conditions.

Once activated, users simply need to press the shutter button and hold their OnePlus 13 steady for a few seconds as the camera processes the image. Afterward, the photo can be shared directly to an Instagram story or as a post.

OnePlus has indicated that the Night Mode available in the in-app camera mirrors the multi-frame processing found in the built-in camera app, eliminating the need for users to jump between apps to achieve high-quality low-light photographs.

It remains unclear whether this impressive feature will be limited to the OnePlus 13 or if it will eventually extend to other models, such as the OnePlus 13R or last year’s OnePlus 12, allowing them to enjoy the same functionality within Instagram.
