October’s Must-Watch: Thrillers, Rom-Coms & More!

The arrival of October has ushered in a plethora of fresh entertainment options, ranging from light-hearted romantic comedies to gripping dramas, spine-chilling thrillers, and eye-opening documentaries. This month promises a delightful mix for viewers seeking varied genres.

On October 4, Netflix premieres CTRL, a thriller that explores the consequences of artificial intelligence in personal relationships, featuring Ananya Panday as a woman who turns to AI in an attempt to erase memories of her ex-boyfriend from her life. Meanwhile, Anupam Kher stars in The Signature, a poignant drama that delves into the heart-wrenching decisions surrounding life support and the human cost of healthcare.

In the realm of mystery, Kajol and Kriti Sanon team up in Do Patti on Netflix, marking a first for Kajol as a police officer on screen. Meanwhile, SonyLiv presents Manvat Murders, a chilling recounting of a series of mysterious killings in a Maharashtrian village during the 1970s, hinting at occult influences.

Reality television fans will be pleased to see Salman Khan and Vijay Sethupathi return to host Bigg Boss Season 18 and Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 on JioCinema and Hotstar, respectively. On October 10, fans of Hayley Atwell will be thrilled to see her reprise the role of Lara Croft in the TV adaptation Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft on Netflix.
