October’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog has been announced, featuring an exciting lineup headed by the zombie action-adventure game Dead Island 2. Set against the backdrop of an undead-overrun Los Angeles, the game introduces a colorful ensemble of celebrities amid a catastrophic outbreak. In addition to Dead Island 2, the catalog will also include the university management simulation Two Point Campus, the interactive horror experience The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, the adventure platformer Gris, and the classic point-and-click game Return to Monkey Island, among others. These titles will be accessible to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium subscribers starting from October 15.

Along with the Game Catalog updates, Sony has also revealed the PS VR2 offerings and Classics Catalog titles for PS Plus Premium subscribers. Games available for download now, announced last month, include WWE 2K24, Dead Space, and Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

PS Plus Game Catalog titles for October

Leading the Game Catalog this month is Dead Island 2, a sequel released last year by Dambuster Studios. This action RPG invites players to fight off waves of zombies in a chaotic version of Los Angeles, humorously referred to as Hell-A in the game. Gamers will engage in melee combat, crafting and upgrading weapons ranging from baseball bats to samurai swords, while also having access to firearms. Available on both PS4 and PS5, the game emphasizes a more hands-on and visceral combat experience.

The Game Catalog also includes Two Point Campus, a follow-up to Two Point Hospital. This business simulation game lets players build and manage a university campus, complete with different departments, events, and staff management. If you enjoy simulation games and fondly recall your college days, Two Point Campus may be an engaging choice. It will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

As Halloween approaches, the PS Plus Game Catalog also brings forth The Devil in Me, the latest installment in ‘The Dark Pictures Anthology’. This interactive survival-horror game serves as the final chapter of the series’ first season, featuring five characters who find themselves in peril while filming a documentary on a deserted island. With a narrative rich in choices and consequences, players’ decisions will shape the outcome for each character. The game will launch on both PS4 and PS5.

Return to Monkey Island, developed by Devolver Digital, presents an old-school 2D point-and-click adventure experience. Players take on the role of pirate Guybrush Threepwood, solving puzzles and exploring fictional Caribbean islands. With a vibrant cast of characters and a user-friendly interface, the game offers plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery. This title will be available exclusively on the PS5.

The complete list of games coming to the PS Plus Game Catalog this month for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members includes:

PS Plus Classics Catalog, PS VR2 titles

For those subscribed to PS Plus Deluxe/Premium, this month’s PS VR2 offering is The Last Clockwinder. The Classics Catalog expands with titles like Dino Crisis (PS4, PS5), Siren (PS4, PS5), and R-Type Dimensions EX (PS4). All Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, and PS VR2 titles will be available for play starting on October 15.
