The launch of the Nothing Phone 3 is slated for the upcoming months, according to Carl Pei, the founder and CEO of the UK-based tech company. This device will be the successor to the Nothing Phone 2, which debuted in 2023. While expectations were set for its arrival last year, the company rolled out mid-range models, the Phone 2a and Phone 2a Plus, in the interim. The new flagship smartphone is anticipated to retain the distinctive transparent rear panel with Glyph lighting, similar to its predecessor, as well as introduce several AI-driven features.
Nothing Phone 3 Launch Timeline
Carl Pei shared details about the Nothing Phone 3 launch during a recent AMA session on X (formerly Twitter). He confirmed that the phone is set to launch in the third quarter of 2025, specifically between July and September.
This timeframe is consistent with the launches of previous models, with the Nothing Phone 2 released on July 11, 2023, and the original Nothing Phone 1 hitting the market on July 21, 2022. Last year, there were rumors regarding the Nothing Phone 3’s launch; however, Pei clarified that the company was prioritizing development of personalized AI technology, which led to the delay.
Details surrounding the Nothing Phone 3 remain scarce, with official specifications yet to be announced. The Nothing Phone 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Nothing Phone 2 is equipped with a dual rear camera system, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Additionally, the device is powered by a 4,700mAh battery that supports wired charging at 47W and wireless charging at 15W.
