Nothing Phone 3 Chipset Details
The Nothing Phone 3 is set to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, according to a company press release. Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, stated that this chipset will provide a 36 percent increase in CPU performance when compared to the Nothing Phone 2, which is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Pei also highlighted enhancements in GPU and NPU performance, which are reportedly improved by 88 percent and 60 percent, respectively, over the previous model. These advances are anticipated to contribute to a noticeably smoother user experience, as Pei noted.
Rumors suggest that the Nothing Phone 3 will be offered in two configurations: 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, and 16GB of RAM with 512GB of storage, priced at approximately $799 (around ₹68,000) and $899 (approximately ₹77,000), respectively. The device will be made available for purchase in India through Flipkart.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display along with a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor that includes optical image stabilization (OIS). Reports indicate that the claimed triple rear camera setup may comprise an ultrawide shooter and the aforementioned periscope telephoto lens. Additionally, the device is rumored to be powered by a battery exceeding 5,000mAh capacity.
Recent design leaks suggest that the Nothing Phone 3 may come with a transparent back panel; however, the company has indicated that it will not include the Glyph Interface. Alongside the launch in India, the Nothing Phone 3 and Nothing Headphone 1 are also expected to be available in the United States and Canada.
