Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25. The game recently wrapped up its multiplayer open beta, which concluded on Monday. The open beta initially began on September 6, while players who pre-ordered the game had the opportunity for early access from August 30 to September 4.
Announcement on Campaign Access
Activision has clarified that players will not have early access to the Black Ops 6 campaign prior to its official launch. This information was shared with Charlie Intel, a well-known Call of Duty news platform, where the publisher confirmed there would be no early access for the game’s Campaign, Multiplayer, or Zombies modes.
According to Activision, “The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies.”
The statement further highlighted, “This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig into any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment on October 25th.”

The confirmation indicates that all players will experience a simultaneous global launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25, without any early access for the campaign feature tied to pre-orders.
This change marks a departure from the previous year’s approach, where Activision provided a week of early access for the campaign in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That title was released globally on November 10, 2023, with players who digitally pre-ordered or pre-purchased getting early access starting November 2.
Additionally, Black Ops 6 will be the first entry in the franchise to debut on Xbox Game Pass upon its release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. Subscribers to Game Pass will have the opportunity to play the full game, including all its modes, without any extra charges.
