Sony has announced the lineup of games that will be featured in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for September. Topping the list is The Plucky Squire, a vibrant action-adventure platformer that brings storybook characters into a three-dimensional world beyond their pages. This title will be available for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members at launch, without any extra charge. Alongside The Plucky Squire, players can also look forward to indie title Night in the Woods, survival-horror shooter Chernobylite, marine exploration game Under the Waves, and several others. All these titles will be added to the PS Plus Game Catalog on September 17.

Additionally, Sony has unveiled PS VR2 titles and offerings for the Classics Catalog aimed at PS Plus Premium subscribers. This update follows the revelation of September’s free PS Plus games, which include Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24, and Little Nightmares 2, all readily available to subscribers across various tiers.

The highlight of September’s offerings is The Plucky Squire, a day-one release that follows Jot, a hero who leaps from the confines of his storybook into a rich three-dimensional environment. The game elegantly alternates between 2D and 3D gameplay, challenging players to aid Jot in restoring a happy ending by confronting the villain, Humgrump. Players will engage in puzzles and various challenges, shaping the narrative of the hero’s journey. The game will be available on PS5.

Night in the Woods tells the story of Mae Borowski, who drops out of college and returns to her hometown of Possum Springs, only to find the community in disarray. The town’s inhabitants are anthropomorphic animals, adding a unique twist. Mae reconnects with her childhood friend Bea as they delve into mysterious occurrences plaguing the town. This title will be accessible on both PS4 and PS5.

Joining the catalog is Under the Waves, a narrative-driven adventure focused on deep-sea exploration and personal struggles. The protagonist, Stanley, a professional diver grappling with past trauma, takes on a job in the Atlantic Ocean. Together with his robotic companion, he uncovers the depths of his grief while navigating the secrets contained in the vast ocean. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5.
