This model has taken the top spot on the Artificial Analysis benchmark’s text-to-image generation leaderboard, surpassing established players in the field, including Replicate, Midjourney, and Stability.ai. The ranking is determined through crowdsourced evaluations, which has sparked curiosity about the enigma surrounding Red Panda.

Artificial Analysis utilizes the Elo ranking system, traditionally used for chess players to assess skill levels. The platform randomly pairs two models and assigns them a prompt, and users then select the image that they feel best represents the prompt based on the generated outputs.
