Microsoft unveiled its latest offerings for business customers, the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, during a special Surface event on Thursday. These new devices are part of the Copilot+ PC lineup, designed to enhance cloud computing capabilities while incorporating localized AI functionalities through advanced neural processing units (NPUs). Featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, both models are equipped with the new Copilot+ PC features intended to streamline workflows.

The Microsoft Surface Pro starts at $1,499.99 (approximately ₹130,000). The Surface Laptop is also priced at $1,499.99. Consumers can expect to purchase both devices at select retailers beginning February 18.
Specifications of the Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop
The Microsoft Surface Pro boasts a 13-inch PixelSense Flow display with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels, available in both LCD and OLED configurations. It offers a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz and achieves a peak brightness of 900 nits. The display has Dolby Vision IQ certification and is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Inside, it can be equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 268V processor, complemented by up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of Gen 4 SSD storage. The device operates on Windows 11 Pro. Alternatively, businesses can choose a version powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chipsets.
Measuring 287 x 209 x 9.3mm and weighing 872g, the Surface Pro features a 1440p Quad HD front-facing camera and a 10-megapixel Ultra HD rear camera, both supporting Windows Hello facial recognition. Audio capabilities include dual studio-quality microphones, 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and support for Bluetooth LE Audio.
For connectivity, the Surface Pro offers two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, a Surface Connect port, and a dedicated keyboard port. It is equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7, with Microsoft claiming it can provide up to 14 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop is available in two display sizes: 13.8 inches (2304 × 1536 pixels) and 15 inches (2496 × 1664 pixels). This model shares the same performance specs, RAM, storage options, and connectivity features as the Surface Pro. The smaller 13.8-inch version measures 301 x 225 x 17.5mm and weighs 1.35kg, boasting up to 20 hours of video playback, according to the company.
Both products are tailored for enterprise use, incorporating robust security features such as a TPM 2.0 chip, BitLocker support, Microsoft Pluton technology, and NFC authentication. Each device is also equipped with a dedicated NPU that facilitates local AI processing to optimize the Copilot+ PC experience for users.
