Microsoft has begun the rollout of new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for users of Windows 11 on Copilot+ PCs. The company announced that these features will be introduced in stages, initially targeting devices powered by Snapdragon processors, while those using AMD and Intel chipsets will receive the updates later. Many of these enhancements, such as the AI agent in Settings, Photos Relight, Sticker Generator in Paint, and improvements to the Snipping Tool, were previously accessible to Windows Insiders through beta testing.

In a blog post, Microsoft outlined its plans to distribute these features gradually through a controlled feature rollout (CFR). Many of these tools are now part of the Windows non-security preview update, with a particular emphasis on Snapdragon-based Copilot+ PCs.
Among the standout features is the AI agent embedded in the Settings application. First introduced in beta in June, this functionality allows users to input commands in plain language into the Settings search box, enabling the agent to execute tasks autonomously.
For instance, users can issue complex commands such as “I want to enable quiet hours” or “connect Bluetooth device,” and the AI agent will recognize and act on the user’s intent. This feature operates on Microsoft’s on-device AI model, Mu, which functions independently of an internet connection.
Another notable addition is the Click to Do feature, which presents relevant actions as users highlight text or images. This tool enables users to easily compile a bulleted list, draft an email or document, or consult Copilot—all within the same interface. Microsoft has enhanced this feature by incorporating four new actions.
The first enhancement is the Practice in Reading Coach, which allows users to read selected text aloud and receive feedback from an AI-powered coach. The Read with Immersive Reader feature provides a dedicated space to personalize text size, background, and auditory reading support. There’s also a capability within Word to draft documents directly based on selected text.
Furthermore, Click to Do now extends its capabilities to Microsoft Teams. Users can initiate or schedule a meeting simply by selecting an email address. Activation of this feature can be done using keyboard shortcuts, including Windows key + mouse click or Windows key + Q, or it can be found in the Start menu.
Photos app users will benefit from the Relight feature, which enhances images by adding professional-quality lighting. Accessible through the edit function in the Photos app, Relight lets users incorporate up to three virtual light sources around the subject and customize their characteristics. Users can also rely on various presets for quicker adjustments.
Additionally, MS Paint will see the introduction of a new sticker generation tool. Initially made available in the Windows Canary and Dev channels in May, this feature can be activated from the Copilot menu. It provides a text box for users to describe the sticker they wish to create.
Once described, Copilot generates four variations of the requested sticker, allowing users to select any of them to incorporate into the Canvas. These stickers can be easily copied to other applications or saved for future use, with a new Stickers option appearing in the toolbar for saved items.
