On Thursday, Meta AI introduced a new feature called Vibes, a feed showcasing short-form, AI-generated videos. This initiative aims to motivate users to remix these digital creations coming from various “creators and communities,” according to the company. Users are invited to share their own AI-generated videos on Vibes or distribute them across other Meta platforms for friends and followers to enjoy.
While AI-generated content has proliferated widely, the unique Vibes feed for AI videos is exclusive to the Meta AI app.
The debut of Vibes marks the replacement of the prior Discover feed, which allowed users to showcase their interactions and prompts with Meta AI. Connor Hayes, Vice President of Product at Meta, previously mentioned to Technology News that the aim of the original feed was to display “what people can do with” AI.
Vibes is the next evolution of this concept, focusing on video content rather than prompts. The company stated it is “designed to make it easier to find creative inspiration and experiment with Meta AI’s media tools.” Videos in the Vibes feed are displayed alongside the prompts that generated them. For example, one video features a group of fluffy, muscular mountain goats leaping down a scenic snowy pass, prompted by the following request:

Users have the option to remix the videos by selecting new music, altering images, or modifying animations. The remixed content can be shared within the Vibes feed or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook, appearing in users’ stories or as Reels. On Instagram, users can tap on Meta AI videos and remix them directly via the Meta AI app.
