PlayStation is gearing up for its upcoming Black Friday sale, set to launch on Friday, November 17. This initiative offers substantial discounts on an array of games and high-end hardware, allowing gamers to prepare for the winter season. In particular, Sony India is focused on clearing its stock of the PS5 Cricket 24 Edition bundles, introduced last month in conjunction with the ICC World Cup. The pricing for this bundle will drop to Rs. 47,990 from its original price of Rs. 57,990. The package includes a 4K Bluray console and a voucher for the popular sports title. The Black Friday sale is scheduled to conclude on November 30.

Details on the pricing of the standard PS5 console during the Black Friday event remain unconfirmed. However, based on previous sales, it is anticipated that the disc variant may be priced around Rs. 44,990. Additionally, a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle is expected to be available, although it won’t feature the slimmer PS5 model that has been released in the US. Sony has not provided a timeline for when this variant will launch in India, indicating it may be postponed until current inventory is sold out. The company is also set to reduce prices on its DualSense controllers. While specific details remain unclear, it seems all color variants will be available for Rs. 4,299, down from Rs. 6,390. The sale will include all authorized retailers, such as Amazon India, Croma, Flipkart, GamestheShop, Reliance Digital, ShopatSC, and Vijay Sales.

Expected discounts will extend to a variety of first-party PlayStation games, with Sony hinting at price reductions for physical copies. Starting tomorrow, God of War Ragnarök will be available for Rs. 2,999 on the PS5, down from Rs. 4,999, allowing new players to join Kratos and a now-teenaged Atreus on their epic journey across the Nine Realms. The PS4 disc version will be reduced to Rs. 2,499 from its previous price of Rs. 3,999. Fans of post-apocalyptic narratives can also look forward to The Last of Us Part I, which will be priced at Rs. 2,499. Horizon Forbidden West, featuring young hunter Aloy’s adventures, will see its price drop to Rs. 2,499 as well, down from Rs. 3,999. Moreover, digital games will be on sale through the PlayStation store.

Players with a PS Plus Deluxe or Premium subscription will have the opportunity to try both God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part I. According to a PlayStation blog, new subscribers can enjoy a 30 percent discount on a 12-month membership during the Black Friday campaign, even though recent price hikes have drawn criticism. The standard one-year subscription is priced at Rs. 3,949. Existing PS Plus members can save 25 percent by upgrading from an Essential plan to Extra and 30 percent when moving to Deluxe or Premium.

Sony India has also verified discounts on its Pulse series over-ear headsets, available in black, white, and camo colors for Rs. 7,650. However, those shopping on Amazon tonight will find the black variant priced at Rs. 7,499 after a 13 percent discount.
