Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus selection of free games for March. The lineup features a diverse array of titles, including the racing simulator EA Sports F1 23, the martial arts beat ‘em up Sifu, the popular online shooter Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and the survival horror game Hello Neighbor 2. These titles will be accessible to subscribers across all PS Plus tiers—Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium—starting March 5. Subscribers can add these games to their library until April 1.
The announcement was made on the official PlayStation blog on Wednesday. In addition to the four games, PS Plus members will receive a cosmetic bundle featuring outfits and weapon skins for the free-to-play shooter, The Finals. Once the games are added, members can enjoy them as long as they maintain an active PS Plus subscription.
Players should note that the free PS Plus games available for February will no longer be available after March 4. This selection includes Foamstars, Rollerdrome, and Steelrising, all of which can still be added to subscribers’ libraries for ongoing access. Below is a summary of the PS Plus offerings for March:
Sifu
In the action-packed game Sifu, death does not signify the end. Developed by SloClap, this beat ‘em up lets players assume the role of a nameless martial artist on a quest for vengeance. Gamers navigate through elaborate levels, confronting waves of adversaries to ultimately face the boss. Each time players die, their character ages, compelling them to revisit levels to hone their skills.
Sifu delivers fast-paced, stylish hand-to-hand combat centered on timing blocks, parries, and dodges. With a wide array of moves and environmental attacks, mastery requires dedication and practice. Its unique art style, stirring soundtrack, and scenes reminiscent of classic kung fu cinema combine to create a captivating experience. The game is available for both PS4 and PS5.
EA Sports F1 23
EA Sports F1 23, produced by Codemasters, is the official game of the 2023 Formula One and Formula 2 championships, offering players an immersive F1 season experience. Known for their authenticity, F1 games continue this tradition, and F1 23 features the fan-favorite “Braking Point” story mode, first introduced in F1 2021.
The game presents the official lineup of 20 drivers and 10 teams. New driving mechanics, a red flags feature, and adjustable race distances are also included. F1 23is available on both PS4 and PS5.
Hello Neighbor 2
Following up on the original released in 2021, Hello Neighbor 2 is a stealth horror game from Dynamic Pixels that challenges players to uncover a new enigma. Players take on the role of an investigative journalist tasked with locating missing children in the town of Raven Brooks, a place rife with secrets.
Participants will navigate stealthily through the town and search homes for clues, piecing together the unfolding mystery. Hello Neighbor 2 is also offered for both PS4 and PS5.
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
March’s PS Plus selection includes Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, a significant expansion for the base game, compatible with PS4 and PS5. This expansion introduces players to Savathûn’s Throne World, a fresh location intertwined with a new storyline.
This expansion presents a chance for players to re-engage with Destiny 2 ahead of the upcoming release of The Final Shape expansion later this year, which will conclude the game’s “Light and Darkness Saga.” To access The Witch Queen, players will need to download Destiny 2, which is free on the PlayStation Store.
Earlier in the month, PlayStation also disclosed the titles incoming to the Game Catalog for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members. Among these are Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, NFS Unbound, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, and Tales of Arise.
