During the launch event, LG provided an in-depth look at the features of the 2025 OLED Evo TVs in a newsroom post. The new lineup incorporates Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, which is claimed to significantly enhance brightness levels and reveal fine details by improving light control architecture through advanced light-boosting algorithms. LG asserts that this technology can achieve brightness levels three times greater than traditional OLED models.
The TVs support an enhanced Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation, developed in collaboration with the creative community. This mode automatically adjusts picture settings based on ambient lighting conditions. The 2025 OLED Evo series is powered by LG’s latest Alpha 11 Gen 2 AI processors, employing deep learning algorithms to upscale low-resolution content to high-definition.
Furthermore, the Dynamic Tone Mapping Professional feature provides content creators with a higher degree of control over HDR10 visuals. For gamers, the TVs include several notable features such as a 165Hz VRR at 4K resolution and certifications for Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. LG claims that these models can slice input lag down to as little as 165 frames per second (fps). On the audio front, the LG 2025 OLED Evo TVs come equipped with AI Sound Pro, designed to deliver immersive audio experiences via virtual 11.1.2 channels of surround sound.
Utilizing AI technology, the AI Search feature allows the TVs to comprehend user intentions based on conversational context. In addition, users can interact with Microsoft Copilot, an AI chatbot that organizes complex information using contextual prompts. The Generative Image Gallery feature also enables users to create personalized backgrounds through voice commands.
The LG M5 series promotes wireless audio and video streaming capabilities at up to 144Hz, claiming to do so without latency or degradation in picture quality. This advanced wireless audiovisual technology is also being expanded to QNED TVs.
Noteworthy recognitions include UL Solutions’ “Perfect Black” and “Perfect Color” verification, Intertek’s certification for 100% color fidelity, and TÜV Rheinland’s “Quick Stability with Image Quality” certification. Additionally, LG’s 83G5 models have received the CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award, while the 83M5 model has been honored as an Honouree in the Video Display category.
