Lenovo has announced that its Legion Go handheld gaming console will soon be available in India. The company disclosed the launch date through a recent press release, providing insights into key specifications and features of the device. The Legion Go was initially showcased at the IFA (Internationale FunkAusstellung Berlin) 2023 event.
Launch Date for Lenovo Legion Go in India
The official launch date for the Lenovo Legion Go in India is set for June 27, as confirmed by the company in its press release. A dedicated microsite is now live on the Lenovo India website, offering additional details regarding the handheld console. Notably, all purchasers will receive three complimentary months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The microsite indicates that the Indian version of the Lenovo Legion Go will include compatibility with Legion Glasses. It will also feature three operational modes: handheld, detachable, and FPS (first-person shooter). The FPS mode employs an optional controller base, transforming part of the controller into a vertical mouse to enhance aiming precision in shooting games.
Specifications of the Lenovo Legion Go
The Indian variant of the Lenovo Legion Go is expected to showcase an 8.8-inch QHD+ touchscreen display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and brightness levels reaching 500 nits. This handheld console will be equipped with AMD Ryzen Z1 series chipsets and will run on Windows 11. Additionally, it features Lenovo’s Legion ColdFront cooling technology.
According to Lenovo, the Legion Go will include 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of PCIe Gen4 storage, with support for expandable memory up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The device will be powered by a 49.2Wh battery, offering fast charging capabilities, along with features like Power Bypass and Battery Optimisation modes. Preliminary images hint at a Shadow Black color option for the upcoming launch in India.
