Lenovo has unveiled the Chromebook Plus, marking it as the first Chromebook powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor. This device integrates both on-device and cloud-based AI features from Google, enhancing its functionality. The Chromebook Plus features a striking 14-inch OLED display and includes a 5-megapixel webcam. Additionally, it boasts four speakers that support Dolby Atmos, delivers Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and claims a battery life of up to 17 hours on a single charge.
Pricing and Availability of Lenovo Chromebook Plus
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus is available for purchase at a price of $749 (approximately Rs. 64,400). Currently, it is being sold in the United States in both Lunar Grey and Seashell colours, accessible through Lenovo’s official website as well as Best Buy. Information regarding its release in other markets, including India, has not yet been disclosed by Lenovo.

Operating on Google’s ChromeOS, the Chromebook Plus introduces features that support Google’s latest AI capabilities. It is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor, accompanied by an Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU and an NPU 890 from MediaTek.
This Chromebook is capable of executing up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for on-device AI applications, enabling functionalities such as Smart grouping for tabs, image editing, Select to search with Lens, and Help Me Read.

The Chromebook Plus also features a 14-inch WUXGA OLED display with a resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels, providing complete DCI:P3 colour gamut coverage. It comes with configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Equipped with a 5-megapixel webcam along with dual microphones and a physical privacy shutter, the device ensures high-quality video interactions. The audio experience is enhanced by four 2W speakers with Dolby Atmos technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus is powered by a 60Wh battery that supports fast charging through a 65W Rapid Charge adapter. With a claimed battery life of up to 17 hours on a single charge, it has dimensions of 314.4×219.1×15.8mm and weighs 1.17kg.
