The Lava Shark 2 4G is anticipated to launch in India shortly, though the company has yet to provide an official announcement regarding the device. A smartphone bearing the model number associated with the Lava Shark 2 4G has recently surfaced on a well-known benchmarking platform, revealing insights into its chipset, RAM, and operating system. The first iteration of the Lava Shark was introduced in India in March this year, featuring a Unisoc T606 SoC, while a 5G variant with a Unisoc T765 chipset followed in May.
Anticipated Launch of Lava Shark 2 4G in India
According to a report from Passionategeekz, the Lava Shark 2 4G may soon be available in India. The device has reportedly been identified in the IMEI database under the model number LZX420, confirming its designation.
The Lava LZX420 has also been spotted on the Geekbench database. The listing indicates the phone is equipped with an octa-core chipset that carries the codename ums9230_6h10, which is linked to the Unisoc T606 SoC—the same processor used in the current Lava Shark model.
Based on the Geekbench data, the Lava LZX420, presumed to be the Lava Shark 2 4G, achieved scores of 428 for single-core performance and 1,444 for multi-core performance. The device is expected to come with a minimum of 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 15.
The earlier Lava Shark 4G was priced at Rs. 6,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant upon its launch in India. It features Android 14 OS, a 6.7-inch 120Hz HD+ display, a main rear camera with 50-megapixels enhanced by AI, and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device is designed with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Additionally, it houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging.
On the other hand, the Lava Shark 5G is powered by a 6nm Unisoc T765 SoC and runs on Android 15. It is equipped with a dual rear camera setup featuring AI capabilities with 13-megapixels, alongside a 5-megapixel front camera. At its launch, this model was priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 4GB + 64GB configuration.
