The Beta Program at PlayStation, which was announced on the PlayStation Blog on Tuesday, is designed to streamline the process of expressing interest in various future beta experiences. While Sony has previously conducted individual beta tests for games and features, this new program provides a unified hub for beta testers. Participants only need to register once to gain access to upcoming games, console features, and more.
According to the announcement, “The Beta Program at PlayStation will create an easy, centralized place for you to register your interest in a range of future PlayStation betas.” It adds that a single registration will allow players to indicate interest in beta testing for games intended for both the PS5 console and PC, as well as new features for the console and PlayStation App, along with user experience improvements on PlayStation.com.
After signing up, players will have the option to participate in specific betas if they receive invitations. To register for the program, participants must possess a valid PlayStation Network (PSN) account, reside in a supported region, and fulfill region-specific age requirements.
