Competing brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Meizu are anticipated to release their smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 later this year.
Launch of iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro
iQOO confirmed via a Weibo post that the Z10 Turbo Pro will debut as the world’s first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s latest 4nm octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. This chipset features a new Adreno 825 GPU and offers support for up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM along with UFS 4.0 storage capabilities.
A promotional poster from iQOO indicates that the Z10 Turbo Pro will be launched in China in April. Although the exact date of the launch remains undisclosed, it is expected to take place in the latter part of the month. This follows the previous iQOO Z9 series, which included the iQOO Z9 Turbo+ variant revealed in September 2024.
Additionally, tech tipster Digital Chat Station speculated on Weibo that the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro may be joined by an iQOO Z10 Turbo variant, which is predicted to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC. Previous leaks from the same source indicated that these devices could feature 1.5K LTPS flat displays and batteries ranging from 7,000mAh to 7,500mAh.
The iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro is anticipated to include a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a primary 50-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and a robust 7,000mAh battery supporting 120W wired fast charging, according to the tipster.
Furthermore, the source claimed that following the launch of the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro in April, other brands such as Xiaomi, Redmi, Oppo, and Meizu will introduce their own Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 smartphones.
