Rumors surrounding the iQoo Neo series began circulating in November, with anticipation building as the expected December launch approached. Following a recent teaser that hinted at the phone’s design and confirmed the launch timeline, iQoo has provided further insights into its upcoming devices. It has been confirmed that the iQoo Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will debut in China this month, featuring distinct processors.
An official teaser video shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo announces a launch date of December 27, 2023. iQoo has previously disclosed that the iQoo Neo 9 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the premium variant, the Neo 9 Pro, will feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC also powers recently unveiled smartphones, including Vivo’s X100 Pro, which was announced globally last week and is expected to reach the Indian market.
Earlier leaks revealed fundamental schematics for the smartphones, confirming that the iQoo Neo 9 will feature a 6.78-inch display. Additionally, reports indicate that both models will sport a 1.49-inch Sony IMX920 50-megapixel primary rear camera sensor. The iQoo Neo 9 is expected to offer configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Neo 9 Pro will come with a variant offering 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
