The iPhone 17 Air, also referred to as the Slim model, is anticipated to be unveiled in September alongside its counterparts: the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Although Apple has not confirmed an official launch date for the upcoming series, a flurry of leaks and speculations regarding the iPhone 17 Air has emerged over the past few weeks. The latest development is a hands-on video that showcases what is said to be a dummy unit of the iPhone 17 Air, providing insight into the device’s design.
Design Updates of the iPhone 17 Air Revealed
Twitter user Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) shared a video on X presenting an alleged prototype of the iPhone 17 Air. The footage highlights a sleek, black device that appears noticeably slimmer than the existing iPhone 16 models. A distinct feature is an elongated pill-shaped camera module that spans the entire width of the device.
In the video, a singular rear camera sensor is positioned at the left side of the camera module, with an LED flash situated on the right. The design aligns closely with prior leaks concerning the iPhone 17 Air.
While the newly released video does not disclose any specifications for the iPhone 17 Air, earlier reports suggest that the device will have a thickness of approximately 5.5mm and a weight of around 145 grams. It is expected to include a 2,800mAh battery and a single 48-megapixel rear camera sensor.
The projected price of the iPhone 17 Air stands at approximately $1,299 (around ₹1,09,500). It may feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is likely to be powered by an A18 or A19 chip, accompanied by 8GB of RAM. Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to be equipped with a 24-megapixel front-facing camera. The upcoming model is also anticipated to debut in new color options, including green and purple.
