This upcoming lineup is expected to feature four distinct models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Recent speculation has emerged about potential color options for the iPhone 17 Air, which is touted to be the thinnest iPhone to date.
According to tipster Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial), the iPhone 17 Air will be offered in four color variations: black, silver, light gold, and light blue. The light blue hue is reported to be reminiscent of the Sky Blue shade found on the MacBook Air (M4). In comparison, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus were made available last year in Black, Pink, White, Teal, and Ultramarine color choices.
The tipster also provided visual mock-ups of the purported iPhone 17 Air showcasing these color options. The black and silver variants appear to mirror the Black and White color selections present in the current iPhone 16 range. Additionally, earlier rumors hinted at green and purple variants for both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air.
Expected Specifications for iPhone 17 Air
Set to debut alongside the other iPhone 17 models in September, the iPhone 17 Air is believed to take over the ‘Plus’ variant and is expected to be the slimmest device from Apple thus far. Industry speculation indicates it will feature a thickness of approximately 5.5mm and a weight of around 145 grams. The anticipated price for this device is estimated at $1,299 (roughly Rs. 1,09,500).
Previous leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Air will sport a 6.6-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and will be equipped with 8GB of RAM. In terms of camera capabilities, it is rumored to have a 24-megapixel front-facing camera and a single 48-megapixel rear camera. It is expected to be powered by Apple’s next-generation A18 or A19 chip and will likely include a battery capacity of 2,800mAh.
