Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is set to debut in India next week, as confirmed by the Transsion Holdings subsidiary in a recent press statement. The Chinese technology company has also released official images showcasing the design and color variations of the upcoming smartphone. Among its notable features is a unique scent technology that allows the device to emit fragrances from its rear panel, with the intensity and duration of the scent adapting to usage habits and environmental conditions. The device will be offered in three distinct colors.
Infinix to Introduce a Scented Smartphone in India
The official launch of the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is scheduled for April 18. Customers will have the choice of Marine Drift Blue, Ruby Red, and Titanium Grey. The Marine Drift variant will feature a vegan leather finish, while the Ruby Red and Titanium Grey options will sport a metallic finish. At this time, specifics regarding the launch event’s timing and the phone’s pricing remain undisclosed.
According to Infinix, the fragrance feature will be available exclusively on the Marine Drift color model. This feature employs advanced Microencapsulation Technology to imbue its vegan leather back with a complex scent profile. The fragrance combines marine and lemon notes, along with essences of lily of the valley, and has a base of amber and vetiver. Variation in fragrance intensity and lifespan will occur based on user patterns and surrounding conditions.
Images provided by Infinix indicate that the Note 50s 5G+ will closely resemble the Note 50X 5G, sharing similar design aesthetics and a rear camera layout. The Note 50X 5G was launched in late March, priced at Rs. 11,499 for the model boasting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Infinix Note 50X 5G features the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, with an option for up to 8GB of RAM. It is equipped with a 6.67-inch display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and features a dual-camera system on the rear, led by a 50-megapixel main sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, while it is powered by a 5,500mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
