Scheduled for release later this year, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is generating excitement as Microsoft reportedly considers a launch during the Holiday 2024 season. This action-adventure game from Bethesda will initially be available exclusively on PC and Xbox Series S/X. However, recent insights suggest that this exclusivity may be temporary, with plans for a release on PS5 anticipated for the following year. Earlier reports indicated that several Microsoft first-party titles, including major Xbox exclusives like Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, are being evaluated for availability on rival platforms such as those from Sony and Nintendo.
Indiana Jones Anticipated to Arrive on PS5
The information comes from Nate the Hate (@NateTheHate2), a well-known industry insider with a track record of accurately predicting developments in the gaming sector. In a post on X, Nate claimed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to launch on PC and Xbox this December as a timed console exclusive.
“After this timed-exclusive window expires, Indiana Jones & the Great Circle is planned to come to PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2025,” he noted.

At this point, developer MachineGames, along with Bethesda and Microsoft, has not publicly acknowledged any intentions to release the game on PS5. Confirmed as a first-party Microsoft title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is slated for release on PC, Xbox Series S/X, and Game Pass.
Earlier this year, multiple reports fueled speculation that Microsoft was preparing to expand the availability of its exclusive titles to platforms like PS5 and Nintendo Switch. One such report indicated that consideration for an Indiana Jones launch on PS5 was under discussion, citing an insider familiar with Microsoft’s plans.
In February, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, confirmed that four Xbox exclusive titles are being adapted for release on PS5 and Nintendo Switch, but stated that major Bethesda releases, including Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, would keep their exclusive status on Xbox and PC.
Despite this, recent reports continue to suggest that Microsoft intends to introduce additional first-party titles on rival consoles.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was first announced with a trailer during Microsoft’s Developer Direct showcase in January. This action-adventure title, drawing on the iconic Lucasfilm franchise, allows players to step into the shoes of the legendary Indiana Jones in an original narrative inspired by the film series. While the game lacks a set release date, it is expected to debut on PC and Xbox later this year.
