Madhav Sheth, CEO of HTech, has announced his new role at Nxtcell, where he will lead the introduction of Alcatel smartphones in India. This development follows Alcatel’s recent announcement regarding its planned return to the Indian smartphone market. The French brand, which operates independently under TCL Communication with licensing rights from Nokia, has not offered products in India for the past few years. Sheth is anticipated to keep his position at HTech, which distributes Honor smartphones in the region. He also hinted at the upcoming launch of new Honor products shortly after confirming his association with Nxtcell.

Alcatel made headlines in early April when it announced its intention to re-enter the Indian market. The brand plans to introduce a variety of premium smartphones, which will be available through Flipkart and its rapid delivery service, Flipkart Minutes. Flipkart is actively promoting the forthcoming release of these new devices via a dedicated landing page on its website.
Among the anticipated offerings, Alcatel has confirmed the launch of a smartphone featuring a stylus. The product lineup is set to include several proprietary patented innovations. Furthermore, the smartphones will be manufactured locally as part of the government’s Make in India initiative, and Alcatel aims to build a nationwide service network to support its customers.
