Honor has maintained a low profile regarding product launches in India, but it has been actively releasing new devices in China. The brand is now poised to debut a smartphone featuring an impressive battery capacity. Previous teasers on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo hinted at this device, and emerging information is revealing more about its hardware specifications and intended market. At this stage, it remains uncertain if this smartphone will be available in India.
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station shared a post confirming that the rumored Honor smartphone with a substantial battery is not merely an April Fool’s prank. This device, identified by the model number DVD-AN00, has been referenced in the MIIT database and has reportedly received 3C certification.
According to Digital Chat Station, the mid-range smartphone is expected to feature a sizable battery with prolonged longevity. A previous report from Huawei Central indicated that this smartphone could be equipped with an 8,000mAh battery. Furthermore, the report suggests that the device will come with notably loud speakers and will utilize a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen series processor, hinting at the possibility of a global launch.
Charging large batteries effectively has been a consistent challenge in mobile technology. Digital Chat Station additionally noted that this smartphone will support 80W fast charging, which is particularly beneficial for managing a high-capacity battery. With advancements in carbon silicon technology, there is optimism that this new phone will maintain a slim profile unlike many previous ‘big battery’ devices.
Another competitor in the market, Realme, is reportedly developing a smartphone with a similar 8,000mAh battery. This device is also expected to feature 80W charging capabilities. Nevertheless, Realme is still in the process of finalizing its battery capacity, which will ultimately influence the charging speed of the phone.
