Honor is set to launch its new Power series smartphones in China, with the company confirming the release date for one of its handsets. The upcoming device’s design has been teased, and multiple leaks have hinted at details regarding battery specifications, charging capabilities, and chipset features. Reports suggest that the device will come equipped with a substantial battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chipset. Additionally, the phone has been listed on China’s MIIT database and received certification from China’s 3C certification authority.
Details on the Honor Power Launch
The Honor Power smartphone will be officially unveiled in China on April 15 at 7:30 PM local time (5 PM IST), according to a post from the company on Weibo. The display is showcased with sleek, uniform bezels along with a centered, pill-shaped cutout at the top for the front camera. Another post from Honor hints at the device being lightweight and having a slim profile.
Tipster Experience More has shared in a Weibo post that the Honor Power is likely to feature a 7,800mAh battery. However, earlier reports indicated that the company might introduce a version with an even larger 8,000mAh battery in the near future.
The model rumored to be the Honor Power, identified as DVD-AN00, is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 series chipset and may also see a global launch. It is anticipated to support 80W wired fast charging. Further details about the handset are expected to emerge leading up to its release.
In addition to the Power series, Honor is reportedly developing a Magic V5 foldable smartphone, which is said to include a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This device may be unveiled later this year, possibly around May or June.
Recently, Honor also released the Honor Play 60 and Honor Play 60m smartphones in China, both powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoCs and equipped with 6,000mAh batteries. These devices run on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 and feature 6.61-inch 120Hz HD+ TFT LCD displays, along with 13-megapixel main cameras and 5-megapixel selfie cameras.
