The Honor Magic V5 is set to make its debut in China on July 2, with the company actively releasing teasers that highlight the device’s design and specifications. A recent poster on social media has brought attention to the periscope telephoto camera featured in this latest foldable smartphone offering. Rumored to come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, the Honor Magic V5 will also showcase a sleek profile and is confirmed to house a substantial 6,100mAh battery.
According to a new teaser shared on Weibo, the Magic V5 will incorporate a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that will have optical image stabilization (OIS). Honor claims that this will be the highest-resolution periscope telephoto camera available in any foldable smartphone to date, surpassing the 50-megapixel periscope lens found in last year’s Honor Magic V3.
In addition to the periscope telephoto lens, the Honor Magic V5 is expected to be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
The device will also feature the Honor Luban shock-absorbing hinge, which the company claims will offer enhanced drop resistance and AI-powered foreign object detection on the internal screen.
