Google has officially launched its Veo 3 artificial intelligence (AI) model in India and several other nations. This rollout means that the AI-powered video generation tool is now accessible in every location where the Gemini app operates. The expansion is currently limited to paying subscribers, who can utilize Veo 3 through both the Gemini app and its web platform. The model was initially presented during the Google I/O event held in May 2025.
Veo 3 Now Accessible to Google AI Pro Subscribers
In a recent blog update, Google confirmed the availability of Veo 3 in India. This marks the second wave of deployment for this advanced feature. In May, the tech firm extended the video generation functionality to 71 countries, including Australia, Japan, and Malaysia, but initially excluded India, the European Union (EU) member states, and the UK. With this latest announcement, Veo 3 is now arriving in those previously omitted regions.
In order to create AI videos using Veo 3 in India, users must enroll in the Google AI Pro subscription, which has replaced the Gemini Advanced plan that was once part of the Google One AI Premium package. The subscription is available for Rs. 1,950 per month and includes a one-month trial period at no cost.
Alongside the access to Veo 3, subscribers are entitled to additional features such as the AI filmmaking application Flow, NotebookLM Plus, and the Gemini assistant within Google Workspace applications, as well as 2TB of total storage for Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. Notably, Pro subscribers can create up to 10 videos with Veo 3, although no refreshes or extra credits are provided at this time.
Veo 3 is positioned as Google’s latest and most sophisticated video generation large language model (LLM). Building on its predecessor, Veo 2, this model introduces significant enhancements in video quality. A standout feature of Veo 3 is its capability for native audio generation, enabling the incorporation of ambient sounds and realistic, human-like dialogue into the generated videos. Additionally, the maximum length for videos created using this tool has been extended to eight seconds.
