On Wednesday, Google unveiled its latest Pixel drop for July 2025, introducing a host of new features for Pixel devices. Among the highlights is a complimentary one-year subscription to the Google AI Pro plan specifically for Pixel 9 Pro users. This subscription grants access to the company’s newest Veo 3 video generation model, alongside the rollout of AI Mode in Circle-to-Search and Gemini on the Wear OS-enabled Pixel Watch.
Google Pixel Drop: Features
The tech giant outlined the new offerings for Pixel devices in a blog post. According to the announcement, Pixel 9 Pro users can benefit from a year-long free subscription to the Google AI Pro plan, valued at Rs. 1,950 per month in India. This plan includes access to advanced Gemini models such as 2.5 Pro and Deep Research on the same model, as well as limited access to video generation with Veo 3.
Moreover, Pixel 9 Pro users will have the ability to utilize Google’s AI filmmaking tool, Flow, which has been specifically designed with Veo 3 capabilities. They will also enjoy enhanced image-to-video creation limits powered by Veo 2 through the Whisk application, with Google offering 1,000 AI credits each month across both platforms.
The Google AI Pro plan further provides increased limits on Audio Overviews and integrates Gemini functionality within Google applications like Chrome, Docs, and Gmail. Users will also benefit from 2TB of cloud storage shared across Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
In addition, the Pixel Drop introduces AI Mode in Circle-to-Search for users located in India and the United States. This feature allows users to input text-based prompts and obtain comprehensive responses complete with inline citations. Google is also enhancing the visual lookup tool with in-game assistance, enabling users to access articles and videos relevant to the specific challenges they’re facing within games, all without switching applications.
Finally, users of the Pixel Watch will gain access to Gemini for easy use on the go, with support for natural language queries. This enables the AI assistant to facilitate tasks such as sending text messages, providing directions, planning trips, setting reminders, summarizing emails, and recalling important details. These features are available on smartwatches powered by Wear OS version 4 or later.
