Google has announced the release of the Android 16 Beta 3.2 update for developers and beta testers, specifically for select Pixel devices. This latest version addresses several issues, including unintended battery drainage, problems with haptic feedback calibration, and various other bugs. The update serves as a minor enhancement to the Android 16 Beta 3, following the earlier introduction of the Android 16 Developer Preview 3 earlier this month.
Android 16 Beta 3.2 Update for Pixel: What’s New
According to Google, the Android 16 Beta 3.2 aims to resolve numerous concerns voiced by users regarding previous updates on Pixel devices. It has been assigned the build number BP22.250221.015 and brings an updated Google Play Services version to 25.07.33.
The change log highlights a fix for a specific problem where haptic feedback was miscalibrated while utilizing the app drawer with haptics activated, typing on the on-screen keyboard, or executing the back gesture. Users had noted inconsistencies in haptic intensity. Additionally, there was a battery drain issue reported, where a device charged fully by 10 PM could lose approximately 16 percent of its battery overnight. Google claims the Android 16 Beta 3.2 addresses this concern.
Furthermore, another issue documented on Google’s Issue Tracker, which caused flickering screens on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro while taking photos or videos, has been resolved. The update also includes enhancements aimed at improving overall system stability and user experience, according to Google.
In conjunction with the bug fixes, the Android 16 Beta 3.2 update includes the March 2025 Security Patch. The company states that all eligible Pixel devices enrolled in the Android Beta program will receive the over-the-air (OTA) update for Beta 3.2.
It’s important to keep in mind that beta program updates are pre-release versions and may contain bugs or issues that could impact device performance. Users should be aware that opting out of the beta program to revert to a stable public version of Android requires clearing all locally stored data on their devices. Therefore, caution is recommended.
