God of War Ragnarok is poised to be the next exclusive title from PlayStation to make its way to PC. This esteemed action-adventure game, developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony, may see an announcement as soon as later this month. In recent months, Sony has transitioned other exclusives to PC, including Horizon Forbidden West earlier this year, and plans to release Ghost of Tsushima’s PC version on May 16.
The speculation is backed by known leaker billbil-kun, who suggested in a Dealabs report that an official announcement for God of War Ragnarok on PC might occur in May 2024. While no specific release date or timeframe was provided, the leaker emphasized that the PC version would be available soon.
Additionally, the announcement could potentially coincide with an upcoming PlayStation Showcase, which is believed to be scheduled for later this month. Reports indicate that Sony is planning some form of a games showcase in May, although no formal confirmation regarding the God of War Ragnarok PC port or showcase dates has been released by the company.

Traditionally, Sony has waited a minimum of one year after the initial release of its single-player exclusive titles before they debut on PC. The company’s PC ports have been managed by Nixxes Software, a veteran studio recognized for handling the conversions of several PlayStation favorites such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Recently, Nixxes launched the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on PC, and the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is expected to arrive on May 16.
The preceding title, God of War (2018), was also adapted for PC in 2022, following its debut on PS4 in 2018. Its sequel, God of War Ragnarok, was released for PS4 and PS5 in November 2022, and a free DLC expansion named God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla followed in December 2023. The storyline focuses on the Norse adventures of Kratos, the titular god of war, alongside his son, Atreus.
