Asus has teased the upcoming ROG Phone 8, the next flagship device from the company specifically designed for gamers. Following the ROG Phone 7, this new model is anticipated to launch shortly, having recently been identified on a certification site that suggests a release is on the horizon. Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 8 will utilize Qualcomm’s latest top-tier processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which boasts enhancements in both performance and efficiency compared to last year’s model.
A teaser shared on X (formerly Twitter) featured a glimpse of the ROG Phone 8, highlighting its top right corner while obscuring the left side which contains the camera module. Adjusting the brightness reveals the triple rear camera system and a side-mounted USB port. The teaser does not provide further details regarding the handset’s launch but indicates it will be available soon.
Additionally, both the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro were identified on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, with model numbers AI2401_C/D/A and AI2401_A/C/F, respectively. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra also made an appearance on the site with the model number AI2401_H. Confirmation of these model numbers was obtained by Gadgets 360.
The launches of the successors to the Asus ROG Phone 7 series are expected within the next few days or weeks. Earlier this year, Asus introduced the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate in India, both featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
These devices are equipped with a triple rear camera configuration that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and an 8-megapixel macro camera, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. Both versions of the ROG Phone 7 are powered by 6,000mAh batteries, capable of 65W fast charging.
