The company is expected to conduct an online launch event for the new device, which is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, consistent with other models in the Galaxy S25 lineup. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to be equipped with a 3,900mAh battery and have a thin profile of just 5.84mm.
Updated Launch Date for Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
According to a report by SamMobile, which cites undisclosed sources, the Galaxy S25 Edge is now set to launch on May 13. This marks a delay of roughly one month from the previously speculated April 15 date. The report also suggests that the launch event for the new handset may be conducted exclusively online.
The Galaxy S25 Edge was introduced alongside other models in the Galaxy S25 series during the earlier Galaxy Unpacked event. It is expected to occupy a position between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra models. The price for the 256GB storage variant is anticipated to be around KRW 1.5 million, or approximately Rs. 87,000. Alleged renders of the device indicate that it could be available in three colors: Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Icy Blue, mirroring the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s color options.
Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC and could include 12GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display and maintain a thickness of 5.84mm. Its dual rear camera setup is likely to comprise a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary camera. Furthermore, it is reported to include a 3,900mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities.
