Flipkart has announced that its Independence Day Sale 2025 will commence later this week, spanning the upcoming weekend. The e-commerce giant is set to offer a variety of consumer electronics and home appliances at discounted prices, featuring products from well-known brands such as Samsung, Motorola, Vivo, Asus, HP, and TCL. The company confirmed these discounts through a teaser image, although there is some ambiguity surrounding the sale’s name, as the official landing page refers to it as the Flipkart Independence Day Sale 2025, while the promotional banner calls it the Flipkart Freedom Sale 2025.
Dates and Bank Offers for the Sale
The dedicated landing page indicates that the sale will kick off on Wednesday, August 13, and will run until Monday, August 17. Throughout the five-day event, Flipkart will provide a 10 percent discount for customers using Canara Bank credit and debit cards. Additional cashback offers and exchange bonuses will also be available, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
In addition to electronics, customers can expect to see discounts on a wide range of products, including casual, traditional, and formal clothing, as well as furniture, kitchen essentials, watches, sunglasses, and jewelry.
The confusion regarding the sale’s title stems from the recent Flipkart Freedom Sale 2025, which concluded just days ago. This prior event offered early access to subscribers and featured numerous promotions, including 78 “Freedom Deals.” While that sale began on August 1, the Independence Day Sale appears to be an extension of the previous promotion.
During the Freedom Sale, buyers could benefit from an instant discount of 15 percent on select credit and debit card transactions with partner banks. Additionally, Flipkart Plus members enjoyed an extra 10 percent discount by utilizing Super Coins.
Despite the landing page indicating Flipkart Independence Day Sale 2025, the promotional banner presents it as the Freedom Day Sale 2025.
