Fiverr, the online freelancer marketplace, announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence (AI) platform, Fiverr Go, on Tuesday. This innovative platform allows gig workers to create AI models that resemble them, trained on their personal data, enabling them to profit from the outputs generated. The initiative is part of Fiverr’s strategy to utilize AI as a tool for empowering freelancers rather than replacing them. In addition to model creation, the platform offers a Personal AI Assistant, which facilitates communication with potential clients.
Fiverr Go AI Platform Introduced
The new AI platform was unveiled during a live event. Fiverr Go is designed to function as an online marketplace for AI chatbots, with each model embodying the persona of a human freelancer. Users will have access to two primary features: Personal AI Model Creation and the Personal AI Assistant.
Currently, only selected “top, vetted freelancers with proven track records” are permitted to create AI models, ensuring a high standard of quality in the outputs. At this stage, Fiverr Go is limited to specific service areas, including voiceover, songwriting, graphic design, illustration, copywriting, and digital marketing.
“We built Fiverr Go to ensure creators remain at the center of the creative economy. Instead of letting creators be exploited, Fiverr Go ensures they receive proper credit and compensation while giving them unprecedented tools to scale their work. This is about making our freelancers irreplaceable, not obsolete,” stated Micha Kaufman, CEO and Founder of Fiverr, in a statement.

Eligible freelancers can create an AI chatbot by accessing the Fiverr Go Hub, where the in-house AI system offers model suggestions based on their previous work. Users also have the option to build a model from scratch. Once initiated, the AI compiles and categorizes relevant samples of the user’s work for training. Freelancers can further refine the output with additional information, and they retain control over pricing for the AI-generated products.
When an AI chatbot is successfully created, it will be listed for sale on the marketplace. Buyers can select an appropriate model, input their requirements, and the AI will produce a watermarked sample. At this stage, buyers have the choice to proceed with payment, after which the final version is delivered in three days to allow for any necessary edits. They may also request custom modifications as per their specifications.
Furthermore, freelancers will gain access to the Personal AI Assistant, designed to be informed by past conversations and tailored to their preferences. Fiverr asserts that this chatbot can enhance communication with potential clients, address routine inquiries, and deliver valuable business insights.
This platform will charge freelancers, with a subscription fee of $25 (approximately Rs. 2,170) per month for access to the Personal AI Creation Model. Additionally, Fiverr has opened up Fiverr Go for developers interested in creating apps and products utilizing AI models and generative AI tools.
