The announcement indicates that Remedy is preparing to introduce additional content for the online shooter.
The gameplay of FBC: Firebreak centers around three-player cooperative missions set within the Federal Bureau of Control’s headquarters, known from Remedy’s earlier title, Control. Available on Game Pass and PS Plus Game Catalog, the game can be accessed without charge by subscribers. This feature likely played a key role in attracting a substantial player count. Additionally, on Steam, FBC: Firebreak recorded an all-time peak of 1,992 concurrent players.
On Friday, Remedy disclosed its plans for patch 1.3 for FBC: Firebreak, set for release next week, with further updates already in development for a later July launch. The studio noted that this patch will enhance the perk economy, facilitating a smoother progression for players.
In the game, players take on the role of Firebreak agents, the Federal Bureau of Control’s first-response team assigned to manage a paranatural threat within the enigmatic Oldest House. FBC: Firebreak provides cooperative player-versus-environment experiences alongside other online players.
