Remedy Entertainment has officially announced the launch date for its eagerly awaited cooperative shooter, FBC Firebreak. This three-player first-person shooter is set in the universe of Remedy’s renowned action-adventure game, Control. The release is scheduled for June 17 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, as confirmed during a developer live-stream on Thursday.
FBC Firebreak Launch Date Unveiled
Subscribers to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate will have access to FBC Firebreak at no extra charge. For PlayStation 5 users, the game will be included in the PS Plus Game Catalog, available to those in the PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers.
The first-person shooter is set to retail at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. Additionally, Remedy will offer an FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99, which includes an assortment of exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. For current owners of the base game, a separate deluxe edition upgrade will be available for $10.00 / €10.00 / £7.00.
In conjunction with the game’s launch, Remedy has shared its plans for post-launch content. FBC Firebreak will introduce two new Jobs in 2025, along with additional updates slated for the following year. Importantly, all post-launch content, including the new Jobs, will be provided free to all players.
First revealed in October 2024, FBC Firebreak immerses players in a three-player cooperative shooter set within the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), originally featured in Control from 2019. According to the game’s description, players will assume the roles of Firebreak agents, tasked with managing a paranatural threat inside the Oldest House. Designed for session-based PvE gameplay, FBC Firebreak marks Remedy’s first self-published title. The game is now available for wishlisting on Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
