The anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6 is set for 2025, but amidst a lack of recent updates from developer Rockstar Games, fans have begun to scrutinize existing information for hints about the game. The title was initially showcased in December 2023 with a trailer, which highlighted its characters and setting.

Despite the lack of additional information from Rockstar, the user speculates that the company may have unintentionally made the GTA 6 database page public ahead of schedule and could be preparing for an announcement before Take-Two Interactive’s quarterly earnings call next week.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, is scheduled to report its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2024 results on May 16. Although the earnings call is unlikely to provide direct updates on GTA 6, it may offer insights into a more defined release window.
Currently, Rockstar Games has released only one trailer for GTA 6, which features its Miami-inspired setting and introduces one of its two main characters, Lucia. Fans anticipate that the studio will unveil further details, including information about the male protagonist, potentially through a second trailer later this year. Based on previous patterns for Rockstar titles, a gameplay-focused trailer might also be expected prior to the game’s release.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is confirmed for launch on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X in 2025.
