This December, PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members will gain access to an exciting lineup of new titles, with Grand Theft Auto V leading the charge. Set to become available on December 19, players can immerse themselves once again in the vibrant world of Los Santos, following the intertwining fates of a street hustler, a retired bank robber, and an impulsive criminal amidst elaborate heists and treachery. Although the game has been around for some time, its release coincides with a new update for GTA Online, titled ‘The Chop Shop,’ which introduces a salvage yard and drift racing features. Grand Theft Auto V will be playable on both PS4 and PS5.
In another offering, players will step into the role of Jack Garland, a warrior with an unwavering determination to vanquish Chaos in the dark fantasy title, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Accompanied by companions Ash and Jed, players embark on a grand adventure, exploring iconic locales such as the Chaos Shrine and Refrine Wetlands. The objective is to restore light to the crystals and dispel the darkness, all while engaging in dynamic hack-and-slash battles. This game stands out visually, thanks to the collaboration between Square Enix and Team Ninja, known for the acclaimed Nioh series. Stranger of Paradise will also be available on PS4 and PS5.
For racing enthusiasts, MotoGP 23 promises an exciting experience with its new career mode and unpredictable dynamic weather conditions. Meanwhile, Funcom’s Metal: Hellsinger presents a unique rhythm-based gameplay where players, as a human-demon hybrid, traverse the infernal realms of hell, challenging formidable opponents to heavy metal music. Players can enhance their scores by syncing their attacks with the beat. This title will be available on both PS4 and PS5.
In the 2D side-scrolling game Moonscars, players take on the role of the fierce clayborne warrior Grey Irma on a mission to locate her sculptor and discover her purpose. This souls-like game invites players to explore dangerous moonlit dungeons while battling tough enemies, learning from each demise, and mastering various weapons and powerful spells in a richly woven narrative.
Additionally, the critically acclaimed Shadowrun trilogy will be part of the PS Plus Game Catalog this month. Set in a cyberpunk universe, players navigate through a dystopian Seattle, filled with mythical creatures and corporate greed. As a mercenary, players will solve puzzles, investigate murders, and attempt to bring order back to the chaotic landscape. All three titles—Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong—will be accessible on PS4 and PS5.
